Yaskawa AC Drives (VFDs) are designed specifically for Commercial Building Automation Systems for use in air handlers, cooling towers, rooftop units, supply and return fans, recirculating pumps, and other related applications in the modern commercial building. Built-in network communications simplify integration to BAS. Bypass control allows redundant operation in event of VFD shutdown.

Energy Savings control goes beyond the normal energy savings that result from using VFDs instead of controlled dampers and inlet guide vanes for flow control. Most VFD investments provide payback in less than 2 years. Yaskawa was part of the original Green Buildings program for energy savings.
